There are tons of things you can sell to make money online. But not all of them are profitable, which is the biggest problem with similar lists you’ll find while browsing the web.

Instead, I focused on highly profitable categories that are easy to scale.

What’s unique about this list is that the vast majority of the items are digital products and services that don’t require any inventory, storage, or shipping logistics. There’s also a heavy emphasis on B2B sales—meaning you target buyers with deeper pockets and charge more money for what you’re selling online.

So don’t worry. I’m not going to send you to garage sales to hunt for vintage toys or ask you to flip collectibles on eBay.

This is the modern way to resell stuff online, and you can make serious money with everything below.

1. Mobile Apps

The demand for mobile apps is at an all-time high and still growing. In fact, research shows that the mobile app market is growing at a CAGR of 14.3% between now and 2030. It’s a $252.89 billion industry and there’s an incredible opportunity for resellers to leverage this demand.

The beauty of reselling mobile apps online is that you can do it from anywhere, and your pool of potential buyers is seemingly endless. Businesses need mobile apps to keep pace with modern trends, but they don’t all have the time or resources to build them.

You can fill that void, and you don’t need any technical expertise either.

With mobile app reseller programs like Buildfire, you can create and sell mobile apps to other businesses without writing a single line of code.

2. White Label App Builders

If you like the idea of selling mobile apps but you don’t actually want to build the apps yourself, you can still get your piece of the pie by white-labeling an existing app development platform.

All it takes is for you to find an app builder with a white-label program. Then you’re just taking an established product and re-branding it as your own.

This is super easy to set up with Buildfire, and you’d be selling a platform that’s already been used to create over 10,000+ mobile apps.

You can charge hundreds or thousands of dollars per month per app as a subscription, and you’ll break even after just one or two sales.

3. White Label SEO Services

Search engine optimization—better known as SEO—is another rapidly growing industry that’s in high demand. It’s growing at a CAGR of 18.3% and poised to eclipse $194.6 billion by 2029.

For those of you who don’t know, SEO essentially helps websites and apps rank for organic searches. So when a user searches Google for a particular product or question, the page you’re trying to rank for appears as one of the top results.

Any business that has a website is a potential client.

The best part about white-labeling SEO services is that you don’t actually have to know how to do SEO or implement strategies. You just need to have good marketing and sales skills, and then you’re offloading all of the projects to an SEO company on the backend.

You just have to worry about supporting your clients, and your SEO “team” does all of the dirty work.

4. Domain Names

Buying and selling domain names is another small business idea you can start from home

Since there’s no physical product, you won’t have to worry about boxes of inventory and figuring out how to ship items worldwide.

There are two approaches you can take here.

The first is fairly straightforward. You’re just buying a cheap domain name with the intention of flipping it at a higher price. You’ll have to research different names that you think could be profitable (which is easier said than done). But there’s a significant opportunity to find some hidden gems that you could sell at a 100x or 1000x markup.

The other option is long-term play. You can buy a domain, set up the website, figure out a way to generate some revenue to the site (like with ads or affiliate programs), and then sell the domain after it’s profitable.

5. Web Hosting

Every single website in the world needs web hosting.

As a reseller, you can purchase hosting resources directly from a web host and then resell them at a higher rate to your clients. You can even purchase your own server and split those resources accordingly for sky-high profits.

The best part about being a web hosting reseller is that you don’t actually have to handle the technical requirements. Your web host still does all of that for you, and you can just focus on selling.

In addition to targeting businesses that don’t currently have a website but need a host to go live, you can also identify slow websites that could improve speed and performance by switching hosts.

6. VoIP Phone Systems

VoIP phones rely on the internet to make and receive calls. As so many businesses shift to remote and hybrid work, the demand for VoIP phones has skyrocketed.

Lots of these phone systems also come with features like live chat, video calling, conference calling, call recording, and so much more. These can all be sold as add-ons to the base price.

VoIP resellers can make a ton of money because the subscriptions are typically charged per user. So if you can land a business with 500 employees, you could be generating upwards of $25,000 per month from just one client.

7. MBaaS (Mobile Backend as a Service)

MBaaS is almost like the web hosting of the mobile app industry. Mobile apps need servers and a backend infrastructure to exist and function for users.

What makes this reseller opportunity so lucrative is that it’s something that an app needs indefinitely or else it will crash and won’t work. So once you sell it, your clients will be paying for it for the lifetime of their app.

If you’re using Buildfire to white label and resell apps to clients, you can also sell MBaaS. This backend infrastructure is included with Buildfire’s platform, but it’s an easy upsell to your clients as it’s essentially a requirement to power the app post-launch.

Best of all, you won’t have to worry about any of the technology or server management on the backend. Buildfire takes care of everything, so you can just focus on selling.

8. Yoga Mats

While I’m typically not a fan of buying and selling physical products, the yoga mat category is intriguing for several reasons.

First, yoga has become very popular—with over 34 million people practicing yoga in the US alone. Mats are basically a requirement for this activity, and most yogis own multiple mats.

The other benefit of selling yoga mats is the ability to get repeat customers over time. These mats get beat up during a class and won’t last forever. So you can expect customers to need a replacement every six to 24 months.

You can find wholesalers selling yoga accessories for cheap prices online and then markup your mats for a hefty profit if you can increase the perceived value of what you’re selling. Remember, you’re not just selling mats—you’re selling a healthy and holistic lifestyle.

9. Sunglasses

Reselling sunglasses online is great for those of you who have limited space for storage. You can buy thousands of sunglasses online for really cheap bulk rates, and they’ll all fit neatly in a small closet.

Success in this space all depends on how you want to position yourself—either as an affordable brand or a luxury item. I recommend experimenting with both options to see which one yields higher profits.

Pro Tip: You can sell the exact same sunglasses for each test. The product doesn’t need to change, just your marketing strategy.

10. Event Apps

Mobile apps really streamline all of the operations for events and conferences. People running these events can use mobile apps for registration, push notification reminders, updates, digital badges, event schedules, and so much more.

It’s also a great way for attendees to connect with each other before, during, and after the event.

There’s definitely a strong demand for these, so it will make it much easier for you to sell.

A whopping 91% of event planners say they’ve seen a positive ROI from these apps, and 72.5% of organizers say event apps have boosted attendee satisfaction rates.

If you’re using a platform like Buildfire to create your event app, you can essentially just build the app once, clone it, and then resell the same thing to other conferences. Obviously you’ll need to change the content and logos, but 90% of the work will already be done, as the vast majority of event apps will use the same core features and functions.

11. Bedding and Sheets

Bedding, sheets, blankets, and pillowcases can easily be acquired in bulk for cheap prices—especially if you’re sourcing them from overseas.

I like this category a lot because it’s something everyone needs and a smart marketer can really demand higher prices by pulling at the right triggers, like “get better sleep.”

Some of the most expensive sheets online sell for upwards of $500, and I can guarantee those same exact items can be purchased in bulk for less than $20.

12. Mobile Apps For Spas and Wellness Facilities

Creating and selling mobile apps to businesses in the health and wellness space can be a highly lucrative venture.

These facilities are always looking for new ways to enhance their perceived value to customers so they can charge higher rates. The app can have features for booking and modifying appointments, upselling treatments, push notifications with timely specials, and even customer loyalty programs.

My favorite part about being an app reseller in this category is that you essentially only need to build a single app. From there, you can just cone it and make slight changes to fit the branding for the spa or facility. But the features will be the same across the board.

For a bit of inspiration here, check out the story of Renaissance Rance. These guys originally Buildfire to create an app for their own locations. The app was so successful that they ultimately decided to white label and resell it to other clinics nationwide.

13. White Label CRM Software

CRM software has become a must-have tool for essentially every business in the modern era. But there are still a ton of smaller businesses that have yet to adapt and don’t have it yet.

According to a recent study, just 71% of small businesses are using CRM software (compared to 94% of businesses in the tech space).

I like those numbers because there’s enough to prove demand while still leaving plenty of room for prospective clients. With more than 33 million small businesses in the US alone, this means roughly 9.5 million still need a CRM system.

14. Employee Communication Apps

In addition to customer-facing apps, internal employee apps can be used to improve communication, enhance employee engagement, and improve team productivity.

We’ve seen this first-hand with the employee apps created with Buildfire.

ColonielWebb used an app to connect more than 1,000+ employees from four divisions throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Keller Williams Realty built an internal app to reduce internal bottlenecks, train agents, and increase revenue.

Buildfire also helped Praxair save $480,000 on employee training costs by using an app to connect 40,000+ employees across seven international offices.

These are just a few of the thousands of success stories we’ve seen from employee apps. You can create and resell these to essentially any business with employees, and the potential use cases are seemingly limitless.

15. Backpacks

Backpacks are perfect for online resellers because they’re so versatile, you can buy them cheap, and sell them for high margins. Plus, there’s a category for everyone—meaning you can sell to a wide audience and potentially sell multiple backpacks to the same person.

  • Laptop backpacks
  • Travel backpacks
  • Camera backpacks
  • Hiking packages
  • Daypacks
  • Hydration packs
  • Commuter bags
  • Cycling backpacks
  • Camping bags
  • School backpacks

Success in this space is largely dependent on finding the right supplier. I also recommend experimenting with just one or two of these categories before trying to do everything at once.

16. Apps For Gyms and Personal Trainers

Fitness apps are in high demand for gyms and personal trainers alike. Apps help individuals and businesses in the fitness space connect with clients on a more personalized level while giving them access to training programs from anywhere.

Whether you want to help people become an online personal trainer, or you’d rather work with gym owners to help future-proof their facilities, an app can get the job done on so many different levels.

Similar to the other types of apps you can build and resell online, the features here are going to be very similar for all of your potential clients. So you only need to do the work once, and then you can just clone the app from there and make minor tweaks for each client.

17. Cybersecurity

You can white label and resell cybersecurity systems to small businesses, home offices, and individuals.

I personally wouldn’t start with small or mid-sized businesses early on. They would likely go directly to a more established cybersecurity firm.

But if you can get bulk rates or high commissions as a cybersecurity reseller, there’s definitely a strong demand at the small business level. Since most cybersecurity software is billed on a monthly or annual basis, you can continue that steady stream of ongoing revenue beyond the initial sale.

18. Luggage

What might seem like an old and somewhat oversaturated industry is still alive and thriving. According to recent data, the global luggage market is still growing at a 7.68% CAGR and it’s a $11 billion industry.

This is largely due to the recent spike in travel and tourism demand.

There’s also been a shift to certain types of luggage, like eco-friendly bags and smart luggage. So you can test out those types of products as well.

The only downside of this category is that luggage takes up lots of space. So if you’re buying in bulk, you’ll need adequate storage space. You can also expect your shipping costs to be a bit higher due to the size of these bags.

I’d honestly consider dropshipping them. While this technically doesn’t make you a reseller in the true sense of the term, it’s close enough, and you won’t ever have to touch the products—making it one of the best low-cost and easy business ideas that make money

19. Mobile Apps For Churches and Religious Organizations

With church attendance declining in America, this is a great opportunity for you to help congregations leverage modern technology to reach parishioners.

Church apps can include features like:

  • Daily push notifications with inspiration and bible quotes.
  • Video recordings of sermons.
  • In-app donation collections.
  • A community message board.
  • Event-planning features.
  • Weekly mass schedules.
  • A place to directly ask questions to priests, pastors, and rabbis.

Like many other app reseller categories, targeting churches can be profitable because you really only need to build one app. Once that first app is built, you can use it as your baseline and just adjust the content for each church—keeping all the core features the same.

20. Watches

Selling watches online is still a great business model. You can buy them for cheap in bulk and easily sell them for 4-5 times the price or potentially more if you want to target “luxury” buyers.

In 2025 alone, watches will generate about $127.2 billion globally—with $21.6 billion coming from buyers in the US (the highest revenue-generating country)

I also like the fact that watches are small, so they won’t take up a lot of space or cost a ton to ship (two things I normally hate about selling physical products as opposed to digital goods).

21. Reusable Water Bottles

Reselling reusable water bottles online is a great way to cash in on the trend for environmental sustainability, and  32% of adults in the US say they’ve started to decrease single-use plastic consumption over the past five years,

The reusable water bottles market is expected to reach $14.6 billion globally by 2032, up from about $10.7 million today.

I’d personally target younger generations if I were to start buying and reselling reusable water bottles online. For one, they’re more inclined to make online purchases, and two, 69% of Gen Z currently use them (more than double the average amount of US adults).

22. Travel Accessories

2025 is projected to be a record year for travel. For the first time in history, the number of airline passengers worldwide is expected to eclipse the 5 billion mark (5.2 billion to be exact), which is up 6.7% from last year.

As more people take to the sky, they’ll be looking to purchase some accessories to make their experience more comfortable.

  • Neck pillows
  • Small tote bags
  • Airplane slippers
  • Headphones
  • Toiletry bags
  • Packing cubes
  • Compression socks
  • TSA locks
  • Bag tags

There are literally thousands of different products in this space that you can buy for cheap and resell online for high profits.

23. Life Jackets

Lots of people may not think of this, but you can make a lot of money reselling life jackets online. That’s because there are several federal and state-specific laws that require all passengers of a boat to wear PFDs (personal flotation devices).

Rather than selling directly to consumers, the opportunity here lies in selling to big businesses that want to purchase bulk orders.

I’d look for rental companies that offer boats, paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, and other water crafts to clients. You can charge more for your PFDs by putting customized logos on them for each business you sell to.

24. Gym and Sports Equipment

This is another category where I think it makes sense to target other businesses instead of just individuals. You can resell fitness equipment to apartment complexes, condos, hotels, and maybe even personal trainers running a home gym.

The key to success in this space is finding gyms that are going out of business and need to liquidate their equipment. You can buy this stuff for pennies on the dollar and then still resell it at a discount to a condo or an apartment, assuming it’s in decent shape.

Margins can be big here, but you need to account for moving, storage, and delivery costs as well. So just factor that in when you’re crunching the numbers.

25. LMS Software

Ambitious resellers can make tens of thousands of dollars monthly by selling LMS (learning management systems) online.

That’s because this technology is often used by businesses for training employees and even schools for online education. So you’re targeting a pool of potential buyers that likely have a big budget to spend in this space.

There are dozens of LMS platforms out there that have lucrative reseller programs available. It’s just a matter of doing some quick research and finding one that’s a good fit for you.

Pro Tip: You can also create and sell online courses as a way to earn additional revenue. While this technically isn’t something you’re reselling, it’s another way to capitalize on the demand in the online learning space.

Final Thoughts

With so many people trying to make money online, I think it’s smarter to think a bit more outside of the box when you’re reselling products.

Rather than trying to compete for small profits with physical goods that require bulk purchases, storage, and complex shipping logistics, it’s typically a lot easier to sell digital products like mobile apps and white label software.

White labeling and reselling software also puts you in a position to target B2B buyers who are willing and able to spend a lot more money than a customer who just wants to purchase a single item online. Plus, you can generate recurring revenue every month or year when the digital subscription renews.
